Driving can be a scary experience and some people may need panic attack help to get back or begin driving. It's not uncommon to feel a little nervous about driving, but some of us may find it extremely difficult or impossible to get in a car without fear of having a nervous break down. Fear Of Driving is usually caused by an intense negative experience from your past, but your mind can also create that fear seemingly without basis. The key is digging down to the source and replacing negative associations with positive ones. The reasons for fear of driving are many. A traumatic experience such as being involved in a car accident or witnessing one, can cause terrifying thoughts and images into the subconscious.
There are some people who are easily nervous in whatever they do, including driving on the road. They just can't control the car well and their hands and legs start shivering while driving. So, how to overcome this problem? There are certain technique which are made particularly for nervous and panic drivers. If you are a nervous driver, this might be very interesting for you!
What do the driving lesson courses for nervous drivers include? First, to enable you to drive safely on the road, I will help you to release your stress first. The technique used is called hypnotherapy. This is a method to reduce the stress level in your mind and make you feel relax before you start driving. This technique starts with a very soft and relaxed conversation between you and me. After you are comfortable with the conversation, I will slowly start to discuss with you about driving related issues which usually make you feel panic. When you feel relaxed, it is actually easier to absorb the lessons and keep in your memory permanently.
The hypnotherapy session is usually conducted at the very beginning on the driving lessons. After you have relaxed yourself, we will begin driving on the road. For nervous drivers, it is always recommended to learn driving slowly and don't push yourself over the limit. One day at maximum two lessons are sufficient.

Of Course you might be asking yourself, How Can we teach you how to drive if you are very Nervous Driver? Which is the number one question that we get asked almost every day. The art of driving is something that no one is born with, and driving has nothing to do with how smart you are, we have had many students who have accomplish in getting many different Degrees, who have graduated from many top colleges with no problems, but when it came to getting their drivers license, it has become a struggle and fear that they have not been able to overcome.
Why is that, Is the question? Well, the person who is teaching you has a lot to do with it, I have had many students who either have had a bad experience with another driving school, or a love one or friend just didn't have the patience to teach them. I have learn that usually the worst person to teach you how to drive is either your spouse or mate. What usually happens is there's a lot yelling taking place. When we teach you how to drive, we will train you by teaching you the very basic of driving first, which is knowing how to handle your brake and Gas pedals, and most importantly how to maneuver your steering wheel. The most important thing is not to have someone yelling at you everytime you make a mistake. Mistakes are a big part of learning how to drive, you will usually learn the best when you can see what a mistake can lead too. The number one reason a student is nervous about driving is the worry of the "OTHER DRIVER". You just cannot predict when the other driver is going to make a mistake, every accident that takes place is usually because one of the drivers who was involve in the accident wasn't paying attention on the road, so you need to become the better driver and learn all the defensive skills to avoid an accident. You need to learn how to be able to tell when that other driver is going to make a mistake, most importantly, you need to just drive and get over your fears, perhaps you were in an accident, and that has terrified you, but remember, you were probably not the driver who cause that accident, so if you learn the proper defensive skills, you probably could have avoided that accident if you were the one driving. There are so many other ways that we can help you, and we can write a book here explaining everything, but the bottom line is, you need to drive. Trust me when we tell you we can show you how to drive.
THE ROAD TEST
Ignore the horror stories of other people’s tests and instructors. Many stories are usually exaggerated in some ways, and anyways, you should be focussing on the test ahead, not those in people’s past. Keep a clear head and ask friends and family to keep their thoughts to themselves until after the test.
Don’t take any pills for your nerves as these will slow your reactions. Also avoid stimulants like caffeine as it can provoke an anxiety response.
On your approach to the road test, start to try and control your breathing. Count your breaths in and out, taking slightly longer on the out breath. This may help you relax and focus, instead of pacing and worrying, focus on why you are taking the test and what you are going to achieve.
During the test, don’t panic if you make a mistake. If you start worrying about whether they noticed or how serious it was it will distract you and can lead to further mistakes. Keep a cool head and concentrate on the current situation. Form a running commentary in your head if necessary to keep you focus on the immediate surroundings.
Above all, think positively. You are more likely to achieve something if you really believe that you can do it and the most important thing is that you need to have the correct person teaching you that wont yell at you and have the patience to teach you.
